The integrated Cold Start cartridge is an energy-saving feature designed to reduce unnecessary hot water use. When the lever is in the vertical (central) position, it dispenses cold water only, rather than a mix of hot and cold, helping to minimise energy consumption in everyday use. The forward-only lever rotation ensures smooth operation and prevents contact with splashbacks or walls behind the tap, making it especially suitable for compact kitchen spaces.
